I recommend this book as well as the www.giveashare.com service. (For the certificate service- don’t be surprised at the higher price of the share certificate when you look at the website. It is an investment in education. Folks who complain about the higher price remind me of the folks at school who complained about the price of the books- very short-sighted. Buy a share or two and talk about and enjoy them and the other material with your kids, family members and friends) This I’m a Shareholder Kit product is a good method to initially engage and explain to young and others of all ages about what stock ownership entails. It does not go into detail about how to invest, nor does it proclaim to be an “investing guide”. It tries to replicate the experience the author had when he was young and became interested in the stock market. Includes 40 pages of bright colored and glossy pictures with a focus on breaking down difficult financial concepts and it does a good job of this.
