We did a unit study on Italy in our homeschool and this book came highly recommended for the Michelangelo section. My kids are a bit obsessed with the David sculpture, partly because one of my kids shares his name, but also because he’s naked. What kid doesn’t love a 17 foot nude marble sculpture? Anyway, this book is a fun way to learn how David was carved, and included some details other Michelangelo books didn’t include, so that was fun. It’s a great story and I love the illustrations.
