Description
‘What VARY Means’ is the second book in ‘Fun with Statistics.’ These books are designed to prepare young children for success in science and math. Children enjoy colorful pictures while gaining exposure to terms that foster readiness for later learning.
Teresa Tallman just loves Statistics and wanted to share her love of the subject to young kids.
She believes that it’s okay to say Big Words, “The Lingo” & concepts before the skills.
Example from the author: You ran a race. WOW, you were right in the middle. You were the mean of all the runners!
You took a bite of apple. Was that good? You sampled the apple!
“If you expose a child to concepts early on and these concepts are relatable to them, then statistics will not be confusing to them!” Statistics is fun!
