From an Amazon reviewer, Tim:
This origami book is really neat. It has everything you need from the instructions to the paper to sticker eyes for the animals.
The instructions are easy to follow. They take the user step-by-step with pictures and instructional steps as well.
The paper is a good weight to fold. Each page has a nice sheen too. The paper has various patterns as well as solid colors. There is a huge variety which is great for really experimenting with the different creatures.
Then there are the eyeballs which are stickers. What’s helpful about the eyeballs is that they are labeled. It takes the guesswork out of which animal goes with which eyes. It makes it possible to achieve the look that they have illustrated without guessing.
Not only is this an origami book but each project relates to a concept in math . They discuss things like shapes and symmetry. Each lesson is clearly laid out so if you’re not sure exactly what your supposed to be looking for then they actually tell you in the beginning.
They also include a difficulty indicator on each project. This is a quick reference before one starts and perhaps gets too deep or doesn’t have enough of a challenge. I found that to be helpful as we definitely started out easier in the beginning.
This would make a great gift. Or could be used as an activity in a geometry class. The quality of the paper is very good and the instructions are well written. The book is clear enough for beginners.
